Terms of Service

The short, plain version.

Effective October 31, 2026

In short

The software

Sovo's source code is published on GitHub under the MIT License. That license governs how you may use, copy, change and share the code. These terms cover the app and this website alongside it.

Your accounts and your mail

Sovo connects to the mail accounts you add and acts on your instructions: reading, sending, moving, labeling and deleting messages. You are responsible for those accounts, for what you send from them, and for following your mail provider's rules. Don't use Sovo to send spam, break the law, or access accounts that aren't yours.

Other services

When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, or turn on AI features with an Anthropic or OpenAI key, your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. AI suggestions can be wrong, so read drafts and replies before you send them. Sovo never sends a message on its own.

Early access and the waitlist

Sovo is in early access. Features may change, break or be removed. If you join the waitlist, we may email you about Sovo; ask and we will remove your address. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

Sovo is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, its authors are not liable for any damages arising from its use, including lost, deleted or misdirected mail.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions are welcome on GitHub.
